Rating: - Works as advertisedMy company bought some new PCs that didn't have any serial/parallel ports (but we need these for our POS equipment). This product works well (i.e. after you install it you forget it's there because it just works, month after month). I'm writing this review because it's kind of hard to find products like this for USB-only PCs, but this Startech adapter is a winner. This worked flawlessly. The only issue I had, hence a lost star, was the install routine was extremely confusing. I have learned with windows to keep hitting "go" and don't waste time reading. I had to hit a dialog box which had the same message in it 7 times. Had the text changed, I would have felt a lot more comfortable. I thought I was going to be in an endless loop, then it just stopped and was fully installed on my XP system. So if you buy this, just keep hitting OK even if it looks like the program is doing the same thing over and over again.
