![]() Rating: - Great ClassicI should have reviewed this game a very long time ago. At this point, its a classic. If you can find it, buy it. If you like real time strategy and space games.... this is for you. It also has great story. I started playing this game from the first installment and even release 2.5. I'm still waiting for the true 3.0 release. FYI, there's movie out there that didn't due the game any justice. Have fun with this classic. Rating: - Great GameI think this is my favorite RTS game of all time! The actual 3d movement makes for great strategy! Rating: - Lameworld 2This game had so much potential but they blew it. Their idea of a smart A.I. is giving it overwelming force based on how much force you have at each senario start. Finish well they are huge, finish poorly they are smaller but still proportionally huge against you. This takes away any incentive to build your fleet which is usually one of the goals of a game. It means you are always about to die, your own skill does not gain you anything. It is sad that they could not afford a programer that could write a good A.I. It truely is Lameworld. Rating: - A good game that overcomes some huge problems to remain entertaining. One hundred and fifteen years after the resettlement of Hiigara, the former Exiles have built up a technologically-advanced civilisation spanning much of the Inner Rim of their galaxy. But a new threat has arisen. The warrior-clans of the Vaygr have unified under a warlord named Makaan and vowed to unite the three great hyperspace cores that will awaken Sajuuk, a legendary figure in galactic mythology, and harness his power for their own. To combat this threat, the Hiigarans have built a new flagship, the Pride of Hiigara, and transferred their core from the old Mothership to it. But, before the Pride can be launched, the Vaygr launch a pre-emptive assault, destroying the Pride's construction facilities and besieging Hiigara. With the homeworld only days from falling, the Pride and its fleet must unite the three cores and awaken Sajuuk to defeat the Vaygr before Makaan can do the same. Homeworld 2 was released in 2003, four years after the first game in the series and three ... Read More Rating: - gorgeous sequelThe music is inferior to the first... the graphics and explosions are still amazing years later... the bone chilling groan of a ruptured capital ship brings these metallic ships to life. certainly a must play, just like the original. |
