![]() Rating: - Amazing service @ Amazon.comYou know? this is my first time to order product on line. I've been researched several on-line shops for my USB Modem. I compared with them and finally chose amazon.com, because I was told they have safe payment system. After I received my USB modem, I found it doesn't work proplely, then I went back to amazon.com page and completed the replace process, they got back to me very speedily and answered me they will send an new one by UPS to replace the problem one which is still in my house. 3days later, I received my new USB modem and tested it in my computer, it works very well. I love it.... I do appreciate amazon.com and their wonderful service. I will shop more on amazon.com when I need more things on line. Thank you Aamzon. You are amazing com!! Rating: - Excellent, Easy to use Fax Modem - Works with Windows 7I purchased a new HP Entertainment pc only to discover that it did not contain a fax modem. After searching around on the internet, I found this Windows 7 compatible modem. It was the perfect solution. Just plugged it into a USB port, allowed the pc to discover and install it; and off I went. It has worked perfectly every time. Highly recommended. Rating: - Works great, low price! For a few months each year, I live and work in a remote rural area that has no broadband internet available. My only options are dial-up or sign a 2 year contract for satellite internet which I would use only a couple of months and have to keep paying for the rest of the time. I recently purchased a new laptop that doesn't have a dial-up modem so I purchased this external modem. It works great as a dial-up internet connection on my Windows 7 64-bit system. Plug and play detected and installed it perfectly. I also purchased an extension cable to use with it since it has a rigid plug and I don't want to accidentally break it off. But I was aware of this limitation up front and the excellent price even with the additional cable still makes it much cheaper than most other offerings. Rating: - poor productModem never worked out of the box. Computer recognized modem and installed drivers. However would not dial out. No dial tone was detected. Installed internal modem and had no problems. Item was returned for refund. If internal modem is what you are looking for, I would look at other brands and models. This modem also seemed to be cheaply made. Rating: - Works for me!I bought this little jewel a few weeks ago and it works great out of the box. Easy and fast to install, and easy to use. Included instructions are clear, and cover all versions of Windows. The installation CD even has music that plays as you install the drivers, which I thought was a nice touch. No extra software needed under Windows XP. I am looking forward to saving money on toner, paper etc. as I no longer use my freestanding fax machine. Spam faxes stay in the "inbox" without getting printed. I can fax from documents in Word and other applications using the "print to fax" function under WinXP. No need to print them out and feed them through the old fax machine. I do have a Xerox scanner, and I can scan in any document I need to fax (seamlessly, I might add, using the "fax console" software which is included in WinXP), and I have been doing a lot of faxing. So far so good! The price is right, and I am thinking this is an investment I should have made ... Read More |
