This product was not at all what I expected to receive. The picture represents the PC CD, not a DVD ROM, but a DVD ROM is what I received. My system does not play DVD ROMs. I have had positive experiences with Amazon in the past, and never had a problem like this, receiving something different than what I had ordered, but I am hesitant to but from Amazon again. If you are reading this, then Amazon is being ethical. However, I assume this review will never make it to the public eye.

This game is a classic, and one of my all time favorites. if you love rpg's this is for you, if you love this game try dragon's age. Both games are Bioware titles(mass effect, dragons age, baldur's gate just to name my fav's) and all are alot of fun. A new dragons age will be released in febuary. I wish we could see a new baldur's gate. it's a old game now but still worth every penny!

BG2 was the best RPG I'd ever played until Dragon Age Origins showed up, and many people, especially those who like Dungeons and Dragons, will still like BG2 better. The story is phenomenal and the characters are diverse and fascinating. The graphics are antique but beautiful. The interface is dated and somewhat clumsy but it's still an extremely immersing and enjoyable experience.

I can only rate this from a 3rd person point of view as I got it for someone as a gift. Judging from his frequent play I can only assume that this game must be fun.

Not much to say, bought this game out of nostalgia. Not as good as I remembered, but by all means is not a bad purchase. AJG
