Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Starcraft II = Mr. Mediocre
Honestly, I didn't expect Starcraft II to be the second coming of RTS games, but after playing this game I came to the conclusion that it was "too little, too late". While I can certainly understand Blizzard's mission to uphold the highest design standards of the game and not release until "its ready", what I came away with was that the game does not justify the long wait we endured. While the CGI sequences are certainly above standard (what game doesn't have great cgi scenes?), there is nothing particularly spellbinding about the gameplay. Been there, done that, was what I kept thinking as I played through the missions. Initially I did not believe the rumors I kept hearing about Starcraft II being a "third of a game". But it is true! The game can be finished fairly quickly by any seasoned RTS player.

The OpenID/TrueID thing...this is the appalling part of the entire process. It RUINS the game. It is a slap in the face to anyone who plunked down hard earned money for ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - solid
Love everything about it, the lack if lan support was a bummer at first but when I think about the amount of time it took them to make the game... I know they are doing to combat piracy, so I guess its not so bad... love the game play tho... so smooth

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - An amazing RTS which will surely become a classic staple of the genre.
There are many people on Amazon giving this game one star reviews, some of whom have not even played the game. These people are trolls, and they represent a very small but vocal minority of the potential userbase for Starcraft 2. Their complaints, some of which are valid, are certainly not enough to give this game any less than four stars. Because this game is fun.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - HUGE DISAPOINTMENT
The only major difference here is the graphics and some new units, yea, that's right, 11 years just for this. Everything else is practicality the same. Also, if you enjoy playing single player campaign or LAN with buddies, forget it. You need to be connected to the internet AT ALL TIMES wow.... MOREOVER you are paying FULL PRICE for 1/3 of the game. Blizzard is going down fast. This is a huge disappointment to fans. There are tons of better games than this, StarCraft 1 was better.

I will definitely not recommend this game to anyone.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - By far the best game i've played in ages
This game is perfect, if you don't like it you don't like the genre; it's the ultimate RTS. It's very polished, the single player is alot of fun and the matchmaking system in bnet is great i'm always playing good games at nearly the same skill level. It's a full game despite nay sayers; it has more missions than Star Craft did.

I love how in the single player game you have choices that affect the game play, i can see myself playing though it many many times.
