![]() Rating: - Worked as it shouldBought three in all, two continue to work flawlessly, the third stopped working with dvd and cd drives but continues to work very well with hard drives. I did have a few hard computer crashes while the malfunctioning one was plugged in and in use due to unrelated and preexisting driver troubles, that may have something to do with it, my thumb drive files were scrambled during this as well. Can not beat the price for the use they've seen. Rating: - best feature is its cheap... works as advertised but some issuesThis produce does work but if you are having issues with it consider these comments: 1) cumbersome. Not really apparent how clumbsy the item is. This product really only can be used as a quick connect item, it is not workable for creating continuous connections lasting days. I suppose this should be obvious from its picture but seeing and using are two different things: 2) all these kinds of devices work to some USB standard. If your computer is older and has an older USB standard you may have issues with getting the item to work. For example this produce would not work when connected to the FRONT PANEL usb ports on my desktop but did work when connect to the BACK PANEL usb ports. Something different about the ports I guess. 3) documentation is incorrect. It says you must set the drive up as MASTER but this setting did not work for us. We had to try SLAVE and CABLE SELECT alternatives before we found what worked. I believe it was SLAVE. Rating: - mediaocre but works OKI only used on IDE drives and it worked OK. I could not see a power connector for sata drives. A case would be nice, but it is cheap. |
